Steal My Look, My Styled Shoot Dress
For our recent styled shoot, I wore a fuchsia mini that felt playful, polished, and surprisingly wearable. As someone who’s 5’1”, finding a true mini that actually hits at the right length can be a challenge (even with a good pair of heels) — most “mini” dresses fit me more like a midi and hit to close or even below the knee (Deal breaker). But, this one delivered.
The Janelle Party Mini Dress by Elliatt struck the perfect balance between statement and simplicity. The bold color feels celebratory, while the floral detailing adds a soft, FLEURBAR inspired touch that made it ideal for a styled shoot setting but just as fitting for cocktail parties, bridal showers, or a night out.
What I loved most is the proportion. The length finally reads as a true mini on a petite frame without feeling too short or overwhelming, and the structured silhouette keeps the look elevated rather than costume-y and the subtle square neckline was super flattering. It’s one of those rare pieces that feels thoughtfully designed, not just scaled down.
The Featured Piece
- Janelle Party Mini Dress in Fuchsia by Elliatt, a vibrant, statement mini with floral accents and a flattering fit that works beautifully for petite frames — especially if you usually struggle with mini lengths.
Styled With
- Neutral nude colored pumps to balance the bold hue
- Minimal jewelry for a polished finish
- Soft glam makeup by Larissa Cerny Beauty to keep the look fresh and modern with my jet black hair styled in loose lived- in curls
I kept the styling clean and intentional to let the dress shine. This is the kind of dress that doesn’t need much — it stands confidently on its own.
Whether you’re dressing for a special event or just love a standout mini that finally fits the way it’s meant to, consider this your sign that bold color and thoughtful proportions can coexist beautifully.
